Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate College Students
The Construction Management Association of America Chicago Chapter presents the Annual College Scholarship Award Program.
PURPOSE OF AWARD:
To financially assist four meritorious construction management students per year to continue their educational studies in the field of construction management.
ELIGIBILITY:
· All full-time undergraduate and graduate students (taking at least 12 credits) pursuing studies in construction management or CM-related degree programs. This includes but is not limited to construction technology, construction engineering, construction science, architecture, or civil engineering.
· Must be a CMAA student or professional member. If you do not currently hold a CMAA membership, please visit the CMAA website at https://www.cmaanet.org/join [cmaanet.org] [cmaanet.org] to apply for an Individual Student Membership. CMAA Student Memberships are free!
· Student is a member of their university CMAA Student Chapter (if the university has a Chapter).
· Must have completed a minimum of one (1) full academic year of studies and have a minimum of one (1) full semester in Summer 2026 or Fall 2026 remaining prior to completing a degree program.
· Past CMAA Chicago Scholarship recipients are ineligible to apply.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Academic performance: 40%
Quality of essay: 20%
References: 20%
Extracurricular activities: 20%
Essay topic: Describe your commitment to a career in Construction Management and your future professional goals. Explain how your academic, professional, and personal experiences have prepared you to contribute to the construction management profession and why you deserve a CMAA Chicago Chapter Scholarship Award.
(The essay should not exceed a maximum of 1,200 words and should not exceed two pages, single-spaced.)
AMOUNT of AWARD:
Currently, the scholarship award amount ranges from Two Thousand to Three Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00 to $3,000.00) per recipient.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
April 30, 2026 (no later than 11:59 PM)
WINNERS NOTIFIED BY:
May 10, 2026
WINNERS are invited to attend (at no cost) the Scholarship Recognition luncheon in mid-May (Maggiano’s Banquets, Chicago- Date: Thursday, May 14, 2026).
