TOUR OVERVIEW - Navy Pier Centennial Vision

Thank you all who attended the Navy Pier Site Tour Friday, Oct 2nd!

Navy Pier Centennial Vision contains 6 in depth components which include: The Pierscape, South Arcade, Family Pavilion, Festival Hall, Events and Entertainment, and Boutique Hotel. For this tour we will tour the South Dock and South Arcade. Because Ferris Wheel construction is expected to begin soon we might not be able to tour this area but the tour guide can discuss and answer questions regarding this area.

The existing signature Ferris wheel will be taken down, refurbished, and re-installed to be 50' taller. Crane logistics are in the works as the wheel is built above a parking garage. The new gondolas will seat more people and be heated. The wheel will re-open in the summer of 2016.

PCM Course Overview

Also, thank you all for attending CMAA's PCM Course on Sep 14th - we had a total of 14 participants and a great mix of instructors - from service providers to owners, including Chuck Hardy of GSA and George Odorizzi of the VA. Feedback has been excellent and we look forward to organizing more courses in the future.
